Yes, actually, Egypt's recognition is required, it is their country, after all. Large scale protests in unstable countries are dangerous, and democracy is unworkable in Egypt.

And no, Egypt’s recognition of a right is not required in order for it to be a right.

The current government is implementing even more fundamentalist policies than its predecessor.
