Pretty much, yes. It wouldn't work on a national scale. What CC has proposed is a niche system that would be confined to a few enclaves, nothing more.

Not only is it a problem, it is a waste of time in my opinion. Authoritarianism falls apart in someway or another especially in this age of the internet when people will get outside ideas someway or another. Look at North Korea for example, there are citizens that sneak in various forms of outside media via the chinese border every day , and those people still manage to defect despite it being authoritarian. If you lose citizens via defection, your authoritarian country is not doing well in my book.

It puts too much faith in the state or any other authority not abusing its power, and usually also entails the violent suppression of dissent.

Assuming there are more people who dont want to have all of their joy and freedoms taken away to live in work units instead of families and having everything banned just because is not at all saying that everyone is libertarian. You dont have to be in the slightest to not want to live in such a horrific state.

If all you have to offer society is a vague "authoritarianism" it become simply authority for authority's sake. If the state is not bound by some moral code, it is useless as an instrument for social order and justice.

I don't identify as that. I only call myself authoritarian only on this place because people are going to call me that anyways. It's like when a minority is called a slur, and they accept it. Then they make it into something for themselves to enjoy.

If the people fleeing from the GDR was anything to go by, and the economic and social problems that caused (and the GDR wasn't nearly as bad as what CC is proposing), then the nation that CC is proposing would collapse from depopulation within a matter of months.

the special word is "some" people. You might say that the majority won't want it. however, history is filled with regimes that were birthed from popular support. The french revolution is an example of this. Even Wiemar Germany can be consider an example of this( there were other fractions other than the Nazis that could gain power).

Except the part where that isnt st all what I said. It's called democracy, my friend. I may not personally agree with them, but I am not some hypocrite who believes they should be outright banned. Instead, their ideas should be tested and shown as false, well most likely false anyways.
