Ah yes, the post nation “nation” that has a leader who is likely a Chinese puppet.

If we’re being honest, an American occupation would be the best thing to happen to Canada since they ditched the Ross rifle.

Why? Is America doing sooooo much better right now? You'll be where we are soon enough; and it won't make a difference.

Really? Why? Because Trump? Trump talks the talk, but he doesn't walk the walk.

I will give you credit, though, you Yanks at least have the 1st and 2nd Amendments; for now, anyways.

Trump is a shock to the system.

Agreed. But Trump is not actually delivering on anything. So yes, he's a shock to the system; but what happens after he's gone - either in 2021 (if he loses in 2020) or 2025 (if he wins his 2nd term)? At best, he's just delaying the inevitable; he can't actually save America from the bed She's made. That's the problem.

EDIT: If you've known me for any extended period of time on this site; then you know my politics. I'm not a Gloablist, a Liberal, or a fanatic hater of Nationalism. Quite the opposite, actually. I was somebody, who in 2016, was very optimistic about Trump being, as you said "a shock to the System". I bought into all that. And his words would seem to uphold that that is the case; but his actions - and in some cases, his lack of action - tell a very different story. The story of a man who played a People desperate for a Savior to save them from the Decay and Decadence that had enveloped their Empire; the story of the ultimate Salesman; the ultimate Huckster. I'm not running around saying Trump is the Antichrist. I'm just saying he's not our guy. His actions have proven otherwise. Hopefully, I'm wrong. Hopefully, I'm proved wrong by future events; but I don't think so. Its a tragedy more than anything else; because People want a Leader; they want a Nationalist Leader, and Trump played them.

Calm down...I was just gonna say let's put one of our reserves up against one of their marines in a boxing ring. See who comes out on top. :p

So, did anyone watch last night's Francophone debate? I missed it, but a lot of people are saying Scheer managed to win it hands down.

Is it just me or are the polls seeing a small surge of support for the NDP?

Don't I know it, I remember 2015's projected three-way mess.

Well, technically the polls actually were correct on the national level and most of the states. It was within the margin of error in the crucial states, and that's what happened. I'll say no more about it though.

They weren't.

Would you bet anything significant on a 30% chance it goes wrong? Probably not, right?

Roll a dice. Every time you get a 1 or a 2, you lose.

That's what the US election polls implied. Of course, with a single outcome... e.g. a restriction that you can roll once... would create the same effect.

Reliable is probably the wrong word.

Reliable here means that you can have faith in the outcome. If the poll is well-designed then that's the case. It would still be the case if it predicted that least well known candidate in the survey would win 100% of votes. This outcome's idiocy cannot make it unreliable. Either it's designed well enough to be suitable, or it isn't.
