I would have had her shot immediately, if it were up to me. Failing that, I would have had her tried and hanged. But seeing as for some stupid goddamn reason, we've imprisoned her, we have a duty to treat her... morally. It is a matter for our souls, not her's. Pettiness and cruelty stain the soul of perpetrator more than the victim. I would, reluctantly, vote to allow her the meal contingent on continued good behavior. Afterwards, I would wash my mouth out with soap for suggesting such a thing.

Why would that be so shocking? Do you really think someone who say lives on the streets in poverty trying to survive would care about some commercialized holiday?

It's sacred to me cause that's when Jesus was born (even though he probably was born in March or April). I don't know why it would mean something to someone who isn't christian or wasn't raised christian.

Well in this case yes since churches and homeless shelters usually go all out for there christmas meal.

because there's a whole culture surrounding it

there's something magical about the day and all the christmas decorations, the atmosphere, the festivities

lots of Christmas movies and music is around and a good deal of it is relatable not just by those who are religious
