I am mostly afraid of the Iron Maiden lurking within it.

i ve noted i have fewer and fewer, nowadays, i had great images before, and i regret this, because i see it as a sign of a brighty mind.

the common day life damps our inner intuition, so we lose it. we can t think at these because our sclerotic mind has been occupied by noisy hurried issues society harasses us with.

No, not really. Sometimes I think of the unexpected happening in confined dark spaces. But otherwise, I find the dark to be a little exciting.

I am afraid of the dark. Always have been afraid of the dark. My fear of the dark stems from not being able to see my surroundings, and is part of the reason why I don't like loud environments (which prevent me from hearing my surroundings). The other reason is because I am highly sensative to noise.

Basically, I am scared of not being able to my surroundings. During the day, I am less worried about noise as I am at night, but am still irritated if it's necasserily loud. At night, I want to be able to hear my surroundings, and that's the reason why I don't wear earplugs, (no matter how irritatingly loud my surroundings are)

I sleep with the curtains open (because I can't do without natural light, and the morning sun light). I've learnt to sleep with the light off, but only if my surroundings are bright enough (luckily, I live in a bright street), and only if there's someone nearby (same room or next room over), and there are exceptions (e.g. the night I found my grandma dead in her house). I have no issue with squirreling away to a dark corner if I am in a well lit room with other people who are awake, and can therefore work as my eyes. Quite frankly, I openly admit to being a nictaphobic adult, and couldn't give a shit what anyone thinks of that

Having lived in a basement for a decade with a hobbyist poltergeist, and with the only bathroom being upstairs I have to say the darkness holds little sway over me now. Though if I'm in the right frame of mind I can freak myself out still.

I remember I didn't like the dark when I was younger but as I got older I sort of liked it more because often darkness would come with silence and I liked the idea of not hearing anything else except your own thoughts (not everyone's cup of tea I know that).

I was literally never afraid of the dark until I was eight, almost nine years old and in fourth grade when I saw a ghost show on TV. Ever since then, sometimes I worry about something or someone unexpected sneaking up on me in a dark room, especially back when I was still devoutly religious and worried Satan could come up and snatch me at any moment. Just thinking about that even now gives me the heebie-jeebies.

I think I've always been afraid of being on small or unstable platforms or at extreme heights, though; when I climb a huge lookout tower the fear is typically subdued, but if it were to jiggle in any way, I'd probably see my life flash before my own eyes.
