In case some of you don't know:

Honestly I don't even know that so say, I'm shocked if anything, I feared the worst after they found his stuff on the Manhattan bridge but I still hoped he was okay somehow. RIP man, your videos always put a smile on my face even after a bad day, you were one of the funniest people on the platform and you will be missed.

What do you say NSG?

He was a streamer/Youtuber who shortly after having a mental breakdown went missing, he then uploaded a video where he hinted suicide and then a bunch of his stuff was found near the Manhattan bridge a few days ago, and today the Police found his body.

Rest in peace dude, I hope you're in a better place now.

PepeHands.

And now follows suit he outcry of hundreds of thousands of people pretending to care about mental health issues for like 5 days and then turning their attention somewhere else. I'm starting to believe that society has more of an impact on suicide than we used to think.

Is it me or is the number of Youtubers’ disappearances increasing? In the last five years or so I’ve heard of several cases.

I wasn’t familiar with Etika’s vlogging but may he RIP.

If a person dies under a bridge and no one around knows who they are, do they really croak?

I never watched his stuff, saw a couple of Achievement hunter videos he was in a year or two ago, but that was about it.

Shame he died and that he was dealing with such shit for as long as he did.

There are more streamers/youtubers than ever and they are increasing at a very high rate. A proportional increase on disappearances isn't surprising.

With that I would agree. I think we do need more support in mental health care to stop further tragedies from happening.

Oh my god.
Truly, a person who entertained all of us. A shame he had to go.

Rest in peace.

Horrible way to go. No one should go that way.

I remember Etika put out a video saying he was sorry and goodbye and then he disappeared for days. Everyone feared the worst but hoped for the best but unfortunately he didn't make it.

I never watched Etika much but I knew people who were fans and knew about him and I saw him struggling with life for the past few years. While I didn't watch him alot and didn't know him, it genuinely hurts because I've lost 8 friends to suicide. To know that someones last days alive were so difficult and stressful and agonizing should pain anyone. And unlike the rest of you, I see no silver lining. PeOple are gonna say "well at least he's at peace now." Nice you think there's some good that came out of this when there isnt. A young man died. He took his own life as he struggled with the things in his head. His mother is nothing short of grieving because a part of her is literally dead ( we are made up of our parents genes). This is beyond horrible, I really don't know what I would even say to his family except sorry. RIP Etika, they'll reminisce over you

We need real support though, not just some virtue signaling bullshit. Putting out a "that's so sad, alexa play bother by stone sour" isn't gonna help anyone. Society will pretend to care but in real life feel nothing and do nothing. It's like when there's a mass shooting. PeOple will send their worthless thoughts and prayers and then forget about it by the next week. It's so depressing but so true

I agree and I think we immediate action in caring for mental health. One of the things society needs to do is end the stigma when it comes to talking about mental health, people need to be more caring and supportive of others and try to raise awareness. And I don't want to make this political but I do think we need more funding in healthcare when it comes to mental health, I don't know about America but in the UK some people have to wait months to see a therapist which I think is disgusting. I take stuff issues like this very personally and do we need a massive change in the way we think in tackling mental health.

It's bad here in the land of the free. Therapists barely help, but that's even if you can manage to afford one.

They do the bare minimum it seems like and many just don't even get it. We need better therapists and better access, because otherwise you get what we had today

I remember watching him a couple of times playing with the RoosterTeeth lot. It's a shame he went out like that when with his profile he probably had a better chance than most at getting the help he obviously needed. But I suppose when you get to that point you are not looking for help, but rather an out.
