I just hope the "mature" hero sounds like Nathan Explosion.

Infected Mushroom wrote:Please consider the following hypothetical:Ever since the creation of the League of Righteousness, it has become near impossible for villains to accomplish anything.
To deal with this band of heroes, Mr. Antagonist puts together a coalition of villains to take them down. You have been recruited to join this gig.
You come up with a plan to lure and capture the leader of the superheroes, Captain Cowl. Mr. Antagonist highly doubted your plan would work but it did and Captain Cowl is captured. You then advise Antagonist that Cowl should be killed immediately.
"Don't you know? They ALWAYS escape later if they're not killed immediately." you tell him.
However, Mr. Antagonist refuses to let you kill him because he may "prove useful" (and also, this is a Saturday morning cartoon serial, you can't kill anyone, its not allowed).
While Mr. Antagonist plots to use a fake robot clone version of Captain Cowl to infiltrate the Mod Tower (the HQ of the League of Righteousness and bomb it to the ground... Captain Cowl manages to talk the buffoon-like henchmen into fighting with each other while you're outside. Using the chaos and the commotion, Captain Cowl manages to escape and alert his comrades.
A confused and extremely angry Mr. Antagonist watches as the heroes defuse the bomb and then move on to attack the villain hideout.
A massive battle ensues, however, everywhere left and right, all of the villains are getting defeated (no one is killed, this is a Saturday morning cartoon, no killing is allowed).
Mr. Antagonist hops into a giant mecha battle suit (which you designed) and temporarily holds off the heroes.
You come face to face with Captain Cowl. He tells you that you've already lost its only a matter of time.
You look around you and indeed, except for Mr. Antagonist who's still doing okay in his battle suit, everywhere else your allies are getting defeated. Its only a matter of time before the remaining heroes dogpile and defeat Mr. Antagonist. Unless Mr. Antagonist pulls off a miracle win (you figure the odds are low for that, though not impossible).
Captain Cowl offers you a deal:
He controls all the prisons in the city. If you use your remote control to de-activate the battle suit (thus instantly screwing over Mr. Antagonist), Cowl promises you that you will get half the prison sentence of the other villains AND.... ANNNNNND you get a massive special privileges large-screen HD television complete with a collector's DVD series with all Game of Thrones episodes (along with complete privileges to watch it 24/7).
You understand Captain Cowl to be a man of honour (its in his character to always honour deals in good faith).
There is definitely something to be gained for betraying your comrades at this point, seeing as their defeat is almost certain.
However, if you do this sort of stunt your Villain Credit will suffer for it. Once you gain a reputation as a sellout (for Game of Thrones DVDs no less) it's possible that you'll be left out of future World Domination Gigs. You might miss out on the final victory and you may have to give up on your dream of becoming Master of Australia...
So, what do you do?
Your Options:1. "It's nothing personal, it's just good business." (hits the remote and instantly de-activate the robot suit and screw over Mr. Antagonist). Chill out in prison with only half the sentence while watching Thrones on HD TV.
2. No I greatly value my personal honour and future Villain World Domination Gig oppertunities. I will not betray Mr. Antagonist. Captain Cowl, you vs me... 1 vs 1 let's go. Let's finish this. (fight to near certain defeat, but fight nevertheless)
Please discuss and justify your choice.I choose Option 1. At the end of the day, Mr. Antagonist ignored my advice at every turn. I feel no great loyalty to such an ally. Furthermore, Captain Cowl offers too good a deal.

The League of Righteousness will have to face us again eventually since more episodes of this Saturday morning cartoon are called for. Therefore, my return is inevitable. With Mr. Antagonist's help, I'll escape from the revolving door that is Barkam Asylum and again menace the world with more colorful antics in the near future.

Captain Cowl only offered game of thrones in part because he hoped that you would adopt the values of Honour, Valor, and Loyalty. After all, the finale does in its own way reaffirm the importance of using power benevolently.
