It's probably just that IM met someone who didn't let them in their study group in College and got mad about it.

I feel like you've just asked me if I support Tom, told me stole a Hershey's bar at 5 years old, and then asked if I still support him.

The answer, of course, is Hell yeah I still vote for him.

No he wasn't. He obeyed the rules of the organization he belonged to and did his best to root out those that didn't. He exposed lairs and cheats and rule breakers. That is a good trait. Blind enforcement of rules is what you want in a person who holds positions of power.

Purpelia does not reflect my actual world views. In fact, the vast majority of Purpelian cannon is meant to shock and thus deliberately insane. I just like playing with the idea of a country of madmen utterly convinced that everyone else are the barbarians. So play along or not but don't ever think it's for real.

Why the hell am I on the defence? I think Tom is a stand up guy.

Tom's still better than a racist bigot.

Being an ass who kicks people out of groups because they're not as good as him is not event the worst thing politicians can do, or have done.

I'd still vote for Tom. If he shares my political views, that would mean he changed since then, and there wouldn't be any problem.

I mean, if Tom had assaulted someone or something, there would be less reason to vote for him. Like Geneviev said,

All you had Tom do basically amounted to being a bit of a douche when he was in college. That is not uncommon for college students. Seriously this "scandal" is not even that big of a scandal and if that is the biggest scandal in his past then that makes me want to vote for him more.
I do be tired

Yes but it's irrelevant, majority of my state votes the opposite of me.

I live in a safe state. It honestly doesn’t matter whether I vote for Tom or not.

What’s a safe state?

Basically, all my state’s electors go to the winner of the popular vote in the state, which will vote for the republican candidate even if he was literally reanimated zombie Stalin.

If Tom is republican, he carries my state regardless of my vote. If he’s a democrat, he loses regardless of my vote.
