Meatless burgers are Satan's work

Postby Parhe » Tue Jun 18, 2019 9:00 pm

I like burgers with meat substitutes like black bean. Never tried tofu but I imagine it would be nasty, considering how most Americans I know cook tofu. With the way I do like my tofu, I don't think it would have the consistency to stay on the bun. I also love meat, though. Sometimes I order a regular meat burger and sometimes I ask to have a vegetarian substitute. I like how juicy beef patties are but, on days when I feel a bit oily, I ask for a non-meat patty. Otherwise, I also just prefer the texture of non-beef patties sometimes. It is a bit amusing when I order a bacon burger (or any with bacon) with a black bean patty instead of the beef patty at Chili's and the the server asks if I want the bacon. Like, obviously, otherwise I would order the near-identical cheaper options without bacon.

The author of that article clearly didn’t thought it through. Where in the Bible is it stated that eating artificial food is evil?

In all actuality, does it matter if it were in the bible? Religious dietary rules are fucking stupid. Somehow I don't think God gives a shit what you eat, so why let some religious person or religious tome dictate what you can and cannot eat?

Well, the Leviticus dietary laws were actually quite healthy. Meshach, Shadrach, and Abednefo weren’t healthier than the others for no reason.

While that is all fine and dandy. I find it odd that religious people will use "sin" to guilt others into conforming to their version of said religon. I fail to see how any of that is a sin, much less why anyone would care, eat what you want, it isn't a sin. Much like this meatless burger nonsense, it isn't a sin, people need to stop that.

hard to say..

"I eat a lot of fruit in the morning. Watermelon, grapes, pineapple, and strawberries give me a lot of natural energy and the water my body needs."

"Twice a week, I’ll have a conventional breakfast. Three poached eggs, wheat toast and sliced tomatoes. On Sundays, I splurge and enjoy bagels, lox and cream cheese, capers, onions, and tomatoes. At 10 a.m., I’ll start eating vegetables for a mid-morning snack: carrot sticks, tomatoes, mushrooms, green and red peppers slices, and celery. For lunch, I’ll have pasta without sauce or grilled chicken and fish, never fried. Sometimes, I’ll have rice. The protein and the carbohydrates, gives me a lot of energy, so I can work the entire afternoon with no snacks at all."

"A secret that works great is that right after lunch, I’ll take a 20-minute nap. It eases the stress and refreshes me."

"I also drink about 5 quarts of bottled water every day. It cleanses the skin and makes a big difference in my complexion. Dinner is usually more chicken or fish and rice with lots of vegetables. I seldom eat red meat. I never have desserts…. sometimes a couple of cookies. I also stay away from alcohol, heavy sauces, butter, oils, fried foods, and sugar. I never feel deprived in any way. I can eat as much as I want and I won’t gain weight."

How Hasselhoff stays young.

Minor thing, Bombadil, but could you rip the Facebook tracker out of your link:

Well, there's the veggie stuff that's currently on the market, which I haven't tried and aren't interested in, and lab-grown meat, which a few companies claim they'll have ready to sell this year, which seems more like it.

One, it no longer applies in the Christian context. So, not really a sin even in the Christian perspective. Spaghetti with pork meatballs is my favourite, after all.

Two, yes, it is nonsense. Some reputable theologian has to step in and rectify this nonsense from his brethren.

Dones it.

I have bought veggie sausages that comes wrapped in some kind of plastic'y stuff and I always remove it, which is a pain and I don't even know if I'm supposed to.

Anyway, they tasted relatively grim.

Thing is I don't know why these companies are such stock market darlings.. probably something to do with the devil.

Yes! I mean, people want to eat healthier food, or at least make cosmetic changes to their diet so they can rationalize all the other junk they're eating.

Altering God's creation is a sin, and all cows are exactly as they were first created by God.

Clearly the guy has done fuck all research into the meat industry.

But if it was made with tools in a universe created by God, using laws ordained by God, then we are not altering God's creation.
