As for the Bible people... various religious in the Bible ate meat. Also you are not supposed to live by the Bible in the literal sense but in its true meaning (I.e. woman can speak in church)

A furry vat of meat, presumably.

I had started writing a similar response but then I was like 'I just can't be bothered'.. I kind of assumed someone else would take on the mantle.

Still, food is such a weird thing, people will cry out at, say, eating puppies while chowing down on their hamburger, taste is honestly among the most acquired preference, or thinking there's no practical difference between livestock over vat grown meat while decrying genetics and abortion but happily buying food built on misery.

I've a friend on a diet I can't remember the name of but has a K in it that apparently means you just eat the fattiest meat available. I had to sit through a dinner listening to him talking to all these benefits and just..

The human relationship to food is bizarre.

We're all a bunch of weirdos, yeah.

Maybe because the devil, er, the future holds the possibility that vat meat becomes the standard for eating.

Portobello mushroom is a delightful substitute. Made burgers the other day with that and this vegan cheese substitute, was delicious.

Portobellos are good as a meatless burger. I like to cook them on a steak adds a lovely flavor to them

Very much so. I like the texture of them as patty too. Especially if they’re garlicky.

Like others might have said, this could very well be worked into a movie... An anti-meat movie where the villains are meat eaters and they are controlled by, GASP, Satan!

.... I am giving them ideas, don't I?

-----

Jokes aside, I don't particularly care if you prefer a meatless burger, or one with some meat inside. What matters for me is that I usually love to eat the food that I get, and do not guilt me into it with a ton of preaching.

If you're vegan or a vegetarian, I respect your choice and decision, but do not shove them to me.

Alright religious hack, @Guywhowrotethearticle

Put the crack pipe down.

Meatless burgers are actually more likely to be seen as less sinful than killing an animal for your enjoyment.

Would I eat one? Meh, probably not. But that’s not for religious reasons. I don’t eat pizza or much any fast food junk food as a rule. I’ve grown to hate the crap.

Pizza is satans food disc! Clogs up the arteries and makes you fat and lazy.

Conservative Christians do actually overreact to the idea of not eating meat quite often, at least in my experience. It's a little ridiculous, honestly.

Yeah... It is quite odd considering how more traditional Christian churches require or recommend "fast days" during which meat is off-limits. Even my extremely devout and religious grandfather never followed that law of the church, he even continued to use bacon grease as a sauce on bread and meat (even after his triple heart bypass).
