Especially creationism that acts like a more scientific creationism.

It should be noted that you don't need a PhD, or technically any degree, to be a "scientist". Being a scientist isn't like being an engineer, or a lawyer, or a doctor; you don't need to pass exams or be officially licensed to be a "scientist".

I didn't say that at all. My point was that some creationists when they publish their books, they tend to include where they got their PhDs from to prove that they're somehow experts on a certain subject despite their willful ignorance of evolution.

I didn't say you did. My point was that just because someone claims to be a scientist doesn't actually mean they know anything.

I never saw that before. Your food pyramid was better.

I have to ask but why should creationism, at all, in any way, shape or form, should be taught in public schools?
It's a part of Christianity, and different religious beliefs should be taught in public schools.

On creationism, teach it in religious studies as a belief that people have, but keep not-science out of science. You wouldn't teach alchemy in chemistry, yeah?

It's a part of Christianity, and different religious beliefs should be taught in public schools.
Different religions should be mentioned and explained, to a degree in as much as they pertain to a particular context, like history. Belief systems should not be taught in public school. That’s something relegated to home or place of worship.

If it's kept out of schools, it's likely that children are forced to believe one thing without having a choice.

There is absolutely no value in teaching children pseudoscience. It only harms them and society. If they are determined to put themselves through the necessary religious brainwashing, they are free to do so, but not on the taxpayer dollar.

Besides, children aren’t being forced to believe in anything. They are, however, expected to learn a material, be tested on it and pass their courses.

It’s like wanting to teach numerology in math just because some people may believe in it and it involves numbers.
