As a police officer, the man has an obligation to uphold the law for all citizens whether he likes them or not, so yes, he did cross the line in a very big way. No they weren't wrong. He was a police officer. Cops are sworn to uphold the law for everyone.

EDIT: Cops are people too. However, since their duties are to keep citizens safe, it is understandable that he be let go from his department for the statements he made.

Levitical Law no longer applies to Christians since the Resurrection, and this was made clear at the Council of Jerusalem by the Apostles themselves.

So, NSG, what do you think? What is there to say about people who continue to not only believe these things about LGBT but continue to speak them out loudly and proudly for all to hear? Do you think this is hate speech or that what he's said is acceptable behavior?
