It’s not self-deprecating it’s more realistic. Humans kind of suck at being well good to one another, even pretty good people act dickish from time to time and hurt people. Not really self deprecating when you just realize that’s how people are, you, me, and everyone else no one is perfect and we will always fall short of the ideals.
