But all of the books in a nightstand in every country? Nah. This is political correctness. No need for a Qu'ran in a state where there isn't even 1% of Muslims or, vice-versa, for a Bible in a Jeddah suite.

Or emergency toilet paper. Those pages ARE quite soft.

The books associated with the most common religions, at least, should be in hotel rooms. It doesn't have to be every religion.

What about majority irreligious countries?
Can we have some nice secular books there?

Why not?
Expand your mind man, there could be more compelling religions out there.
Not saying that it should be mandated, no siree. But if I owned a hotel, I might do that if cost permitted.

Gideons is a private organization giving out books.
I am sure any other similar organization can do so as well.

With the number of Christians who respond to perceived fallibilities or downright concerning verses in the Bible with "but you're just not reading it in the right context", I think that alone is enough to outweigh any possible benefit that putting a Bible in a room has. If I am feeling depressed, and decide to open up the book in the dresser to a random point, and I have a roughly equal chance of opening to John 3:16 or Leviticus 20:13, or even Genesis 5:6, then I think there's something wrong with the book.
