My official stance on this is that I don't want these people coming to my country, I hate them for doing so; and I want them gone. I can't go into any real policy detail because of the rules around here, but in my mind- if conditions are too good, more will just come which necessitates more resources being thrown their way and its an endless money pit or positive feedback loop.

The US has got to deport these people as fast as they arrive or maybe even invade Mexico and establish a buffer zone to keep them out even more effectively. This is a silent war that our civilization is fighting against not unlike what the Roman Empire needed to contend with.

Don't want to risk being separated from your parents or the adult claiming you as theirs after getting caught illegally crossing? Then don't cross the border illegally and get in line like everyone else and wait your turn.
