Much as I like the guy, I disagree with the Communist initiative he fought for.

And now, in one of life's little ironies, he's part of the very thing he strove to destroy: capitalism.

I have no idea how a mass murderer who liked to personally carry out executions of prisoners, built the first concentration camp on Cuba, advocated for nuclear holocaust and was a racist against Mexicans and blacks made it into a pop culture icon that millions of young leftists today worship, thinking that someone who begged Bolivian rangers not to kill him to somehow be a hero...

There's nothing wrong with the actual topic; commemorating anniversaries of historical figures is valid.

But if you try again, perhaps add in an actual discussion point or two - even a sentence asking people for their opinions on Guevara would help.
