Well I agree that we should not go to war over this, diplomacy with Iran is impossible when they have absolutely said they will not negotiate.
But we should use this to try to get more countries to sanction Iran.
And to drive a wedge between Iran and countries still on good terms with Iran.

A deal that should never have been made, and one that simply resulted in the surviving of the IR's economy for a few more years, resulting in literally nothing but the upkeep of militias and terrorist organizations in Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, """""Palestine""""", and Iraq, itself resulting in the murder of hundreds more of civilians in literally every single Middle Eastern country except for maybe Turkey, all the while not stopping Iranian ambitions for nuclear terrorism -something that's actually kinda made into a Joke in Iran itself, with multiple officials explaining how they snuck the reactors past the inspections anyway.

Well we can use diplomacy and sanctions to weaken Iran’s means to do so.

As much as I would like to eliminate their ability to strike our allies, there is no easy way to do so. But we can strengthen our allies defensive and counter attack capabilities and further weaken Iran by driving diplomatic wedges between Iran an other countries.

You know this could start a larger war. Iran is the balance to Turkey. No Iran means there is really nothing to stop Turkey from expanding. This will greatly worry Armenia. If Turkey decides to invade Armenia then Azerbaijan will invade the Republic of Nagorno Karabakh and Armenia. Then the US will have to support Armenia. Chances are the Russians will also get involved. What a mess.

so let me get this straight if an Iranian mine was found and the most of the holes made in the ships were above the water line while only 1 or 2 were partially or fully underwater such as this one

modern day torpedo doctrine is to not fire into the side of the target ship but to fire underneath the target ship and lift it breaking the beam of the ship causing the ship to sink. The photo looks more like mine damage that was amplified by the pressure wave being compressed by the water. and the only regional threat to iran besides the US is the Saudis and they have not done sophisticated naval assaults like this since ever plus the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, nor Kuwait would do this which would drastically effect them in negative ways. plus you nor anyone else has proof to show that another nation is trying to frame iran
