I chuckled because I can actually see this introduced by someone. To promptly be struck down by big Texan guns. Still, the laughs.

This guy's in a suburban district. It's not deep red enough politically to run a libertarian or constitutionalist with any chance of success, and anyways he made a name for himself by hewing hard to the right of the spectrum, even for Texas republicans.

The Libertarian party's target demographic is basically anyone who doesn't like government interference and high taxes. A well-run Libertarian campaign could win on Rand Republicans, classical liberals, basically anyone who wants weed legalized(he or she could run on that since Texas is currently not a weed state), maybe even some neoliberals.

A majority of people in his district of Texas saw his stupidity and went "Yes I will indeed vote for him."
It's a public health issue, so unless you are one of the very small minority who has a legitimate allergy to taking the vaccine, you should be forced to get one.
No, they didn't. The majority of people in his district hit the button in the pollbooth that said "straight-r". The majority of republican primary voters saw he had a 100% rating from Texas right to life, the local branch of the NRA, and whatever tax protest group they're into, and ticked the box next to his name.
Now, I happen to agree with you about mandatory vaccines, although not for public health reasons- as far as I've been able to tell, mandatory vaccine laws have either no or a marginal effect on actual vaccination rates, which is the important factor here- but I'm just pointing out that it's not as if the majority of his voters saw his position on vaccines as a particularly important factor. They would have voted for a sex offending donkey with an r next to its name.

As the measles epidemics show, stupid people generally keep their children from vaccinating and turn them into plague carriers. Adult anti-vaxxers are for the most part hypocritically vaccinated.

I'm not sure what's hypocritical about this.
Stupid sure, but where's the hypocrisy?

Modern society was meant to have irradicated measles and other 18th century diseases, but instead we find ourselves back in the dark ages of medicine. Fucking A.

I get what you are trying to say, but mandatory vaccinations would violate the 1st Amendment because it violates Freedoms of Speech and Religion.
