YouTube drops mask, Mass Demonetizes right wing content

Unless you've been living under.a rock the passed few years it's been obvious that the media monopolies of the internet have pushed for more and more censorship and suppression of speech that they don't like.

Ever since the establishment and the useful idiots that they patronize saw how social media could have a widescale of influence on people political disposition they've been pushing for the outright banishment of dissidents from every major platform. Twitter, Facebook, YouTube etc.

They aren't even pretending to be unbiased anymore, not that anyone who isn't braindead believed they were before.

YouTube has thrown their hate into the ring and have mass demonetized most "right wing" content on the website under the nonsensical farce of combatting the non crime of "hate speech" while simultaneously failing to strictly define what that is or how they justify violating freedom of speech.

This isn't a left or right issue it's an issue of freedom vs Tech plutocrats monopolizing the flow of information on the internet.

Sargon of akkad summarizes it I'm this video. https://youtu.be/bBUVaXwQGoA

And any of the useful idiots who will cheer this have shown their true colors and will be in for a rude awakening if they think people will take this lying down.

Are there examples of channels that have been affected?

White supremacist content I believe. That is what the articles state.

The New York times the model of objectively and honesty.

Not like they employ a woman that openly espouses hate for white people.
That's not hatespeech according to them though obviously a trustworthy unbiased source

It's rich that this is coming from someone who posted a Sargon video as a source.

That seems awfully ominous

Well looks like Ben Shapiro and Pewdiepie will lose all of their ad money.

Glad to see they're finally taking a stand, however limited.

It's something they've creeped upon for the past few years now they are making it a widescale policy.

Thread title and OP is misleading and dishonest, YouTube is removing of demonetizing white nationalist and neo-nazi channels, not your average milquetoast right wing or conservative channels.

And good on them, I say. Aside from the deletions, the vast majority of advertisers are absolutely not going to want or be cool with their ads being shown on videos advocating literal ethnic cleansing and genocide.

Sargon is not a legitimate, neutral or accurate source for anything.

YT has been doing this with material that’s flagged as inappropriate or that they perceive as bad in their platform for the better part of two years or so. A huge amount of content creators have been talking about it and creating either Patreons for their subscribers to help or leaving YT entirely. I’ve seen it happen with the horror community.

Is there another source than Carl Benjamin?

Seems sensible for a company to try to limit Nazis on their platform.

YouTube should be nationalized or regulated as a publisher, tbh.

Oh sit down you. They also demonetized a bunch of leftist and LGBT content creators, and have been doing it for years. You are not special.

You mean you don't trust the word of an illiterate edgelord and failed UKIP candidate?

A fascist is trying to convince me that he thinks banning dissent is a bad thing.

Private companies banning hate speech from their service isn't punishing people for thought crimes.

Private companies banning speech is a problem when those companies have more power over public discourse than the government. We shouldn't leave our fundamental rights up to the whims of tech robber barons.

Aren't right-wingers the ones always saying stuff like "if you don't like it make your own"?
