I'm down with that if I can have tiger strength. God is a myth anyway.

One of the biggest knitting websites in the world, which claims to have more than 8 million members, has announced that it will ban users from expressing support for Donald Trump, saying that to do so constitutes “white supremacy”.
On Sunday, administrators for Ravelry, a site for knitters, crocheters, designers and anyone dabbling in the fibre arts, said that they were making any expression of support for Trump and his administration in forum posts, patterns, on their personal profile pages or elsewhere permanently off limits.
“We cannot provide a space that is inclusive of all and also allow support for open white supremacy. Support of the Trump administration is undeniably support for white supremacy,” the site’s administrators said in a post.
Users could also be permanently banned under the policy.

Jesus Christ. I'm literally sitting on the fence right now. Keep it up with this PC nonsense and I just might support the guy after all.

Reminds me of the time 4chan decided to re-image Pepe as a white-supremicist simply because they were tired of Nicki Minaj using Pepe memes in her tweets.
Tru story bruh

More like liberals losing their minds over Trump supporters
Abolitionism in the North has leagued itself with Radical Democracy, and so the Slave Power was forced to ally itself with the Money Power; that is the great fact of the age.

Why didn't they just stop following Nicki Minaj on twitter?

This is completly absurd and grotesque. So they ban supporting the current President? A knitting website? Really now?

They could just make a big sign "No politics", instead they are going specifically against the President. Which being said they seem to have copypasted that idea from another website which is linked in the guardian article.
Which in turn has an entire thread dedicated to their decision.
Namely their decision to become party in a political conflict.
People choosing their team and begin to act. So it begins.
This is scary.

Private entities have that right to decide what they host on their platform.

Banning expression of one currently mainstream type of politics while not disallowing other politics is itself a very political act. And that's surprising from a site relating to a non-political hobby. That's why it's at least slightly newsworthy.

We're talking about what this is foreshadowing rather than the website itself. And that is more and more entities turning political, taking stands. If this is in any way indicative then 2020 will be a rather... interesting time.
