More likely than not, he's protecting his own interests.

It was based on your logic that only a party's presidential candidate and/or the personification of said party posting on this site can determine their policy position. The posts that don't make sense are your own.

Perhaps you have not seen my posts.

I am against President Trump's soft policy on North Korea and on his betrayal of the Kurds. I support and independent Kurdistan nation state, I think they can become an oil rich, strong military power and US ally like Israel.

I am anti ISIS.

I used to work with 2 North Koreans, we talked in English about our nations of North Korea and Cuba and we found out we have a lot in common.

But I support him for being against the Venezuelan and Cuban regime.

Trump has consistently shown himself to be willing to allow regimes to repress people in return for merely the promise of the deal, not even an actual deal just a promise to come to the negotiation table.

China, Turkey, NK, he only makes deals with repressive regimes because they want something, and that is for him to remove barriers to their repression, or not have an opinion on them.

If either Cuba or Venezuela said 'hey, we'll come to the negotiating table if you allow us to repress a group of people', he'd say yes instantly.

He's not particularly getting any deals with any group that doesn't have a need to be able to repress people, such as the EU for example.

No, seriously, it's not even that. Basically, Erdogan spoke nicely about Trump, so Trump did something nice in return for him, going off script and doing some free-hand negotiating. And being the Master Dealmaker that he is, he secured a deal.

Lest we forget:
The U.S. withdrawal plays into the hands of the Islamic State group, Damascus and Moscow, and the announcement left Trump's own Defense Department "completely stunned," said Pentagon officials. Turkey, like the United States, wants regime change in Syria. Russia and Iran support the Assad regime.

"President Trump was definitely out-negotiated and only endorsed the troop withdraw to make it look like we are getting something—but we are not getting something," the National Security Council source told Newsweek. "The U.S. national security has entered a state of increased danger for decades to come because the president has no spine and that's the bottom line."

Trump has no credibility in international matters and no weight to push around. International leaders know he's a weak push-over and a coward, and they're playing him like a cheap fiddle.

Trump ordering Fox News around while Biden does the same to CNN.

Noam Chomsky once pointed out that despite freedom of press in the United States, corporate media is actually more compliant to the government's demands than state owned media in other countries.

Page had a point in regards to this. Despite being free on paper corporate media often functions exactly the same as state run media, just for its preferred side. I.e. Fox and the GOP, CNN/MSNBC for the Dems.

All forms of media have become more niche over time to survive, it is no wonder that the wonderful world of cable news media follows the same pattern.

I fail to see how making a dumb meme is ¨threatening the free press.¨ I mean if were being honest if anyone was threatening anyone in that situation it was CNN threatening to dox someone for making a fucking meme.

Come on nobody threatened the press it was just a meme meant to be funny and Donny tweeted it because he thought it was not because he wanted his supporters to start beating up the press (especially seeing as nobody did). Don’t be deliberately obtuse about it like they were.
