Since the last topic about the LGBTQRS+ ruling in Brazil derailed, I thought it could be interesting to talk about it here. If you don't know Desmond Napoles, he represents the future of drag.

More precisely, he's a 11 yo boy acclaimed for being a drag queen (princess?). His life is mostly made of shows in bars, being sexualized, meeting and doing vlogs with convicted abusers and learning a lot about drugs. All of that thanks to his wonderful mom who has been fascinated with drag culture since her youth. This is an issue with child performers in general. It's not specific to LGBT culture.

It's not a reason to object to adult drag shows or LGBT civil rights. I love drag, but I'm still not totally OK with this because the issue isn't about drag -- it's about children being put in the spotlight before they're old enough to fully understand and control their own careers. Child beauty pageants are the same thing without the LGBT aspect, and they are just as bad.

Drag shows with adult performers? Absolutely fabulous. I love them.
