So uh NASA put out this recently and honestly this is probably the biggest thing to happen with space since the Apollo missions. I myself am probably more excited for this than like anything else ever. What do you guys think? Do you think that this type of space exploration is worth the massive risks?

I think you should say what you’re talking about instead of posting a YT link and expecting people to watch it.
I also think NASA should change it’s acronym to North American Space Agency, but oh well.

How about you describe what's in the video for those who can't or don't care to watch a video?

So NASA put out this statement that they are going to put permenant colonies on the moon by 2024 and honestly this is probably the biggest thing to happen with space since the Apollo missions. The video even goes into detail about how they’re going to support the colonistson the moon with a new rocket and a permanent space station orbiting the moon. I however did notice a lack of solutions to the problem of food which is slightly worrying. I myself am probably more excited for this than like anything else ever. What do you guys think? Do you think that this type of space exploration is worth the massive risks?

Libertas Omnium Maximus wrote:NASA’s Space Launch System is coming along nicely and they are realy taking this effort very seriously. With that said, if memory serves Pence said that we should have “boots on the moon by 2024” that isn’t the same thing as a colony. I think it is within our capacity to eventually have a permenant settlement on the moon however, I doubt it will be as soon as 2024.
Based on a press release in April it looks like the plan is to:
1. Test the SLS in a non manned mission (2021isg)
2. Test the SLS in a manned orbit of the moon (2022 ish)
3. Mission to moon (2024)

Space Force needs as well the infrastructure of a permanent Moonbase.
John Madden Moonbase soon.

I think we should call it King's Landing.
