It's something that happens, but I wouldn't say its normal.

Yes, I held it to a higher standard then China's media or Russia's media.
And yes I guess it is on me.
It still is at a higher standard. Not by much, mind you, but Alabama ain’t shanking people for watching it.

According to this, it does get funding from the state government as well as the federal government.

They aren't but it still sucks that they made the choice to provide worse service to Alabamians.
And that it is a minor case of censorship.Torisakia wrote:As an (unfortunate) Alabamian, you're better off holding The Onion to a higher standard than APT.
At Least the Onion is funny.

Eh. Jury’s out on whether not showing something counts as censorship.

Censorship by omission.
It would be like if Russia or Saudi Arabia blocked all footage from the Olympics that had Gay people competing.

Is it censorship when colleges uninvite conservative speakers?

Polls are a thing mate. And according to them 67% of Americans approve of gay marriage/consider it normal. Out of all 50 states only Alabama and Mississippi have a majority or plurality against. Alabama with 52% against and Mississippi with 48% against

Polls are also typically deceptive.

Also, yes. APT, a television network, has nothing better to do than their job, which is to decide what airs on their channel.
If someone else wants to air the episode they can.
So should a news network not air a peace of news that wouldn't go over well with there target audience?

The internet exists dude. And so does the PBS streaming service. The APT can choose to not show it but that doesn’t mean it’s censorship because you can still view it while living in Alabama

Bad comparison considering the news media does that all the time.
The news media censors by omission all the time, that's half the reason people are beginning to love Alternative media so much, they report on the things the normal media doesn't want to report on because it might offend people who are their target audience.

Yes but it would still be omitting the episodes information from anyone who wanted to watch it on APT.
