People can already watch Arthur for free via the PBSKids site.

The great thing about the internet is that this can be relegated to an obscure corner of the web that not as many people will see. But for the mass audiences or mainstream websites, this shouldn't be aired if Alabama doesn't want it to be so just yet.

Add to that losing the funding by viewers who aren’t usually gay friendly... it’s not in APT’s best interest to air programs or episodes of programs that will make them lose funding.

As for this, I would prefer they showed the episode, as I think it benefits children to be exposed to tolerant attitudes. But, not at the cost of an educational network being defunded. Because I don't think that would benefit children long-term either.
