Counter culture was regrettable but nicely played. Resisting bad things by acting poorly worked well. I hate what they did though and it left a stain on American culture. However, the corporations and radical anti-communists have already done the same, to a larger extent.

I can see why you might have that opinion. As you say, it was effective, and to my mind producing a bunch of media and content and stuff which shakes up the status quo and effects some change is preferable - in my mind - to violence or the people who constantly want you to 'debate them'. Different strokes for different folks I imagine.
