Those With Full Time Job/Internship How Productive Are You?

Postby Oldenfranck » Wed May 15, 2019 8:51 am

Yeah, like for those of you with a full time job or internship, what percent of the time that you are on clock are you really being productive and working? I would say for me only 40-50% of the time. I don't find work thrilling, and there is not enough incentive (since it is unpaid and I just get free stuff and food). So over half of the time I am either on here, discord, web surfing, map drawing, sleeping in my cubicle (it is a fairly routine occurrence that my supervisors have to wake me up when they come to my cubicle), etc. What about you ns?

I am pretty much 100+ %. I eat at my desk....

I fall within the range of 80%-100%, I also eat my lunch at my desk, even though I have pretty much automated my daily duties using scripts and batch files there are times I need to physically touch a computer or track down network issues.

My job is weird. I only do stuff when stuff needs doing, other than that I'm just on call for the phone ringing.

I fire people who aren't working hard enough. I am out there with them though so if I am carrying 100lb pieces of metal all day by myself and you are looking at your phone instead of helping you may as well do it at home.

I won't lie though... I am looking for a second job with a chair that is in AC. Just for sunday's so I can rest while I work.... If that makes sense.

Depends on the day, and the tasks that need to be done. Could be anywhere from 100% to 0

I try to work as hard as I can when on the clock, for like the first six hours of my shift. The last several hours, however, I'll usually just zone out, especially if my bosses are gone and just sorta leave the store to me.

So, let's say 80%.

Define "productive" in a meaningful and/or comparable way.

Strictly speaking, if my job description includes "sitting on my backside playing solitaire until some task needs doing" then playing solitaire is 100% productive.
IMPORTANT PRODUCT INFORMATION: While Autonomous Cleaner Bot Cleaners have a smart navigation system that avoids obstacles, the robot may occasionally bump into furniture, objects, pets and ideological assumptions. Therefore, if you have special objects and assumptions that could potentially be damaged by the bumping, remove these objects and assumptions from the room or use boundary markers. Additionally, refrain from looking into laser vision system with remaining eye.

Depending on the time of the year and what my job is that day. In the off seasons when tourists and school groups aren't coming through the amount of stuff I can be doing drops dramatically. And sometimes there is nothing to do. On some days I'm sitting in a booth watching telly for 8 hours and on others I'm operating a museum, repairing trails, and checking fishing licences and catches.

Somewhere around 20%, definitely. I can literally do all of my work before my lunch break, and then spend all my time after lunch just doing nothing.

I might be forced to be super productive the next two days since this lady from Florida is coming to the office and people have been saying since room is tight, they might give her my cubicle and make me hole up with my boss in his office, not going to be a blast.

For all those saying they are only productive with like less than 50% of their time; what sort of job do you work? Does it pay well?

No, I don't have a salary, I only get free stuff and food, I am a full time summer intern, and I am only doing this during the summer because I need something good on my resume to stand out after college to get a good job. That, and we got released early from senior year of hs school to get an internship, which is required to graduate. I am in commercial real estate acquisitions.

0% to 100% depending on the day. Although, now that I think about it, I am in the position of assistant manager...here's the rub, there is no one below me to manage, so in fact, when I have a 0% production day, I always give myself a second chance, so, there is that... :)
