I don't really consider it a holy text, most of us don't really claim to have anything like that really. Hellenism, and indeed most other forms of reconstructionism, is more orthopraxic and concerned with correct action rather than orthodoxic and stressing correct belief in things like holy texts. Indeed large parts of interpretation are often left up to the individual practitioner because sadly most of us aren't in formal groups.

I do not read Greek lol, it's a rather intimidating alphabet imo. Besides English I very casually dabble in Akkadian/Babylonian on a purely recreational and historical interest basis but little more, besides a decent bit of Latin cuz I use RWDT and honestly if you don't want to destroy Carthage do you even belong here :p

You can learn the Greek alphabet in an hour, then you could pronounce it, although I don't know if saying canonical prayers untranslated is required in Greek paganism as in Islam.

All the more reason to oppose you and your ilk if that is truly the case.

You have to have some sort of morality others can rely on for reference. WRA presumably subscribes to the Delphic Maxims, but you can't give a similar example for yourself?

French patterns are rather predictable, being acquainted with liaison is a big part of mastering French.

He's very hesitant to admit it, though, and it's amusing if I can get him to squirm a bit.

Although, it's also quite appalling how he can't just come out and say that I, definitively, am not allowed to exist under his ideal state of affairs, because I possess no religion.

It is just corrupt Latin with absolutely atrocious pronunciation.
Funny how many French get so sensitive over it.

Yes I know English is just a bastard child of old North German, Latin, with French and a bunch of other stuff thrown in. But I am not pretentious about it. English is not some pure unchanging perfect language. It is a mess, but works and is a lot of fun.

If the French would just admit their language is equally ersatz shit I would be okay with it.
It is the arrogance regarding it that is silly.
