Why do we have to bargain on this? Why can't both parties work together on climate change and the environment?

The planet should not be a bargaining chip and to make it one shows how short sighted and self centered people like you are.

I'm not a member of either party, But the republicans aren't budging on the climate, so if you want me to vote for the dems then the dems need to drop their crusade on weapons. it's really that simple but you want to have your pet issue, and all the other issues. You want us to do all the sacrificing. So really who's the selfish one in this situation?

Yes, as soon as you abandon evil policy positions.

Sometime in the near distant future:

Child: Grandpa/Grandma what are birds and fish?

Grandpa/Grandma: Birds were creatures who flew in the sky and made nests in trees, sang beautiful songs and came in many sizes ands colors but we destroyed their homes to build cookie cutter housing. Fish swam in the ocean and came in many shapes and sizing but due to demand for food we oversfished and made them go extinct but i didnt care then nor did others. We cared more about guns and other stupid squabbles. i’m sorry for the terrible world you inherited. I wish things could have been different for you.”

I think only 14% of bird species are estimated to go extinct by the end of the century.
