There has been a popular movement along these lines for ten years or more, I believe, in Brazil. The women call it "the factory is closed". It has had a powerful effect there.

Considering abortion is still illegal in Brazil if the objective was legalizing abortion it failed miserably.
This changes nothing. Women already had the power to choose to have sex or not.
So they will still do so. Okay. Those who wanted to have children will still have them, and those who do not want to will not.
So this will not cause political change.
