There has been a popular movement along these lines for ten years or more, I believe, in Brazil. The women call it "the factory is closed". It has had a powerful effect there.

Citation needed on Brazil.
Considering abortion is still illegal in Brazil if the objective was legalizing abortion it failed miserably.

This changes nothing. Women already had the power to choose to have sex or not.
So they will still do so. Okay. Those who wanted to have children will still have them, and those who do not want to will not.
So this will not cause political change.

It's not just feminists though. Women are gatekeepers of intercourse. It's something society accepts. It shouldn't surprise you that, by extension, women's leverage over men would purely consist of that sexual gatekeeping.

The irony would be if people start calling me sexist for pointing this out.

Well yes, society has accepted rape is bad. This does not mean women only have sexual power, or have something men do not.

Well, or it’s “made to penetrate” which is a form of ”unwanted contact” if the victim happens to be male. You know, like being bumped on a train.

I would disagree with that, given the issues surrounding social attitudes with regards to men and rape. Which also includes some jurisdictions adopting laws that don't see unwanted sex as rape if the victim is a man.

Well true there is a double standard for some.
Still men do have a right to refuse sex just as women do.
Even if forcing a man to have sex is sometimes (wrongfully) a different crime, it is still a crime.

While you are correct there is still sexism in law and society, men still have a legal right to refuse sex, and forcing them to do so is still a crime, even if sometimes, wrongfully considered a different crime.

Even if forcing a man to have sex is sometimes (wrongfully) a different crime, it is still a crime.

Generally, in most places (with a few notable exceptions).

But that doesn’t mean it will get prosecuted. In the United States, where I do my advocacy work, men report more often than not being told they will be charged with filing a false report or wasting police time if they attempt to report. I’ve taken to recommending they take a lawyer with them when they go report if they have the resources, or if they don’t, a good friend, so there’s a witness to the discrimination.

It’s getting better, but there’s still a lot of work to be overcome.

It doesn’t help that men are more likely to be raped by their partner than anyone else, and police automatically tend to believe their partners over them based on sex.

I am pretty sure forcibly restraining some one against their will and touching their genitalia agains there will is illegal everywhere in the US.
It is still assault/battery, false imprisonment/illegal restraint, sexual assault/unlawful sexual contact, etc.

Sure negative societal assumptions still persists, but it is still agreed that men have a legal right to choose who they have sex with, or choose to not have sex at all.

Well, it’s not that society explicitly thinks men don’t have the right exactly, just that they exist in a default state of consent, and so they can’t be raped - conscious or not.

I do not think anyone as advocated men should be forced to have sex with everyone who wants it.

And it's worth note lynching was never legal. Black people in the south were always legally protected by laws against murder, which covered lynching.

That doesn't mean it didn't happen.

This is heading into a tangent however, as ethel was pointing out:
