The reasons why global warming isn't "solved" aren't because it doesn't get much attention or that we're too distracted to do anything about it but because people actively don't want to do anything about it.

Youtube broadly speaking, is not meant to be anyone's primary source of income. Only a select few mega stars can feasibly do this full time. It is what I'd consider to be side hobby bullshit. Post videos for the fun of it if you want, try to build an audience if you have anything interesting to contribute to the world, but don't count on it as your ticket to becoming rich or whatever. Keep it real, don't get high off of too much success.

Why is James Charles (whoever this is) wearing make up like some woman? It offends me what he does, if its indeed true that it is what it looks like. For shame if being apart of the "drag queen" scene is the case with him. That's my opinion.

YouTube recommends a video about replanting mint in a garden. Says it has 3.2 million views. I select it. The channel has 7 million subscribers.... The video has 14 likes, 6 dislikes, and no comments. It was uploaded in 2008. The channel hasn't been active in 6 years and only has 12 videos uploaded....

To me "YouTube subscriber count scandal" refers to either YouTube adding fake views to boost family friendly content on their metrics or channels that litterally buy subs to become YouTube famous.

If we didn't have sources of recreation, like reality TV or YouTube make up tutorials or whatever you're having yourself, we'd all be too stressed out to be productive to achieve anything, and then we'd all die. People putting energy into stanning James Charles, or whatever, is what allows them to spend a third of the day working.
