I like pretty much any pizza that isn't deep dish or stuffed crust or just shitty chain resturant pizza. I prefer it to be greasy and cheesy and I'll put my own garlic salt and oregano on it. Hot sauce and anchovies are good too.

I've had pizza in rectangular form, but I've never seen it in square form. It doesn't tend to cook as evenly in (non-regular) rectangular form, so it's not as good, but I'm not sure if that would apply as much to squares.
If you're from another country, maybe that's why you've seen them. I don't think they're an American thing, at least.
