Much criticism from the EU, and others, as Erdogan decides to re-run the mayoral vote in Istanbul that his party narrowly lost last month. To me another sign that Erdogan is taking Turkey deeper into dictatorship.

I used to think he did- but he doesnt. He says literally fucking everything to piss them off to the point the fake news media isn’t believed and his numbers go up. He doesnt listen to people who are supposedly more qualified like liberal reporters government officials and economists. He says whatever he wants because he will always get the same response no matter what he does. He says things that normal people’s would think unthinkable and acts like he hasn’t lived in society for more than a few years. Either that or he’s never cared about how society is supposed to work.

Indeed. The based and redpilled dichotomy does not necessarily mean they are good or bad. Some use it to mean that, but oftentimes being based and redpilled is very bad because such people oftentimes influence society negatively in the pursuit of their self interest.
