Actually, there's a gap of approximately one year; Isaac Newton was born four days before the one-year anniversary of Galileo's death.
Still, definitely noteworthy.

Pedant. :P Yes, Galileo died 8 January 1642, and Newton was born on 25 December 1642.

It's not really a factoid but uncommon to think about: The Holy Roman Empire and the United States of America briefly existed contemporaneously.

In the same vein, Anne Frank, Martin Luther King, and Yasser Arafat were all born in the same year.

If all of the mountains in Idaho were flattened out, it would be the largest state by land area. Bob Bell, star of the show bozo the clown briefly served as a sniper in the marines. Despite being half blind. Of the 180 people to have reach the rank of 4 star general in the us army, all but two went to west point. The Kowloon walled city in Hong Kong was so densely populated that it would be equivalent to packing everyone on earth into Israel.

Historical warning against incest special!

The Byzantine emperor Heraclius married his niece Martina over the objections of just about everyone; they had at least nine children, all of them sickly, and two of them disabled.

Tutankhamun was married to his half-sister Ankhesenamun, and was himself the child of a half-sibling relationship (Akhenaton and a half-sister whose name hasn't survived). Inbreeding was so endemic within the 18th dynasty that Tutankhamun and Ankhesenamun were unable to successfully procreate; their two genetically deformed miscarried foetuses were buried with the pharaoh.

Habsburg inbreeding was so extensive that Carlos II of Spain was simultaneously the son, great-nephew and first-cousin of his parents - who were uncle and niece; all eight of his great-grandparents were descendants of Joanna and Philip I of Castile. Carlos II was famously described as 'short, lame, epileptic, senile and completely bald before 35, always on the verge of death but repeatedly baffling Christendom by continuing to live'.

I know the NATO names (as well as the technical details) of many (almost all?) of the radars associated with Russian SAM systems (both legacy and current). A few are: Fan Song for Guideline, Low Blow for Goa, Pat Hand for Ganef, Square Pair for Gammon, Straight Flush for Gainful, Land Roll for Gecko, Flap Lid for Grumble, Grill Pan for Gladiator, etc. My favourites are probably Straight Flush for design (a work of art in terms of layout), and Fan Song in terms of adaptability.

Pharoah Akhenaten, in an effort to curtail the power of the priests in Egyptian politics, attempted to outlaw Egyptian polytheism and replace it with a monotheistic(-ish) sun cult centered around the diety known as Aten. It was never referred to as one of the gods, but above them all in glory.

After his death, his cult fell out of favor and everyone more or less tried to erase his existence.

There was once a Canadian survey that tried finding out differences between people who watched porn and whoever didn’t; however, they were unable to find anyone who hadn’t watched porn at least once. (Citation needed)

There was a US Navy study (I will try to link it) where some officers were given Geiger counters to measure their radiation exposure. Interestingly nuclear power officers got the least radiation exposure and pilots the most radiation exposure.

Because nuclear reactor officers work below decks or underwater on submarines they received the least sun exposure. Working inside a nuclear power plant actually causes LESS radiation exposure than stepping outside or getting on a plane.

Solar and wind power also kill more people than nuclear power.
