Don't make it difficult, you must force children to be vaccinated. Parents who refuse can say what they want. Just vaccinate the kids during school and problem solved!

No it wasn’t. The entire study had cooked numbers

A lot of people were concerned about that and were hesitant about vaccinations as a result. Then a lot of doctors and researchers helped clarify that correlation is not causation, and put some effort into explaining to parents which vaccinations were being given and why.

Only because one idiot cooked the numbers on a study.

If a parent is mandated to get their child vaccinated with MMR, MMRV, DTaP or any other combination of acronyms, you can expect some pushback. If an explanation is given in easy to understand terms, then compliance is much easier. It only takes a few minutes and no, handing out a printed flier doesn’t count.

Again only because a few individuals spread misinformation.

I agree with requirements for proof of vaccinations before attending school, summer camp, dance class, sports teams, etc., and registration for these makes that easy and normalizes the idea. When you say it’s mandatory, people get scared.

I don’t give a fuck about what they feel

When you say everyone needs to do it before they can participate in X, it’s not so scary - it’s understandable. A basic education about viruses and how they spread is also important. When you tell someone they can be infected with measles by a carrier who left the room hours ago, that’s easy to understand. I don’t take issue with vaccinations - but I do with “mandatory” and “quarantine.”

Except we tried that and people still refuse to believe. The time for education is long gone. Now is the time for action

I'm afraid it's only from various comments I've seen on news sites whenever these epidemics are mentioned and when the French government proposed a list of 11 mandatory vaccines for children (back in early 2018). The latter particularly ticked some people off but every population has its subset of total nutcases.

That being said, the French actually seemed to have rolled with those 11 vaccinations... So, some sanity is still there!

Andrew Wakefield was exposed as a fraud and lost his medical license roughly a decade after his now retracted paper was published in the Lancet.

And as someone who read his study, I can confirm that it was incredibly crappy and I can’t help but wonder what the publishers were smoking when they decided it was okay to publish in the Lancet.

... wth?

Therm... no...

Anti-vaccination support groups and social events... they're a thing... and it totally undermines herd-immunity by creating a herd with 0% vaccinations and then spreading it around to other communities like some form of sapient weaponized biological terrorist cell.

Which is why cattle-brokers are forced to kill their entire herd when that happens.

Also, turns out it wasn't so much vaccinations causing autism... as eating lead.

This reminds me of that old saying:

"It didn't work the first fifteen times, maybe it will work the next?!"

This situation reminds me of that. California of all places should have stepped in and enforced mandatory vaccinations, especially since it is technically a sanctuary state. I find it rather surprising they didn't extend that same political rhetoric into action to actively treat incoming immigrants, and to put a stop to that silly anti-vaxxer movement. It only takes one, folks. Just one. Then the cards start to fall because some mother decided to be "pure" or some bullcrap.

Story itself is heartbreaking honestly.

Maybe they could give a roll-call to see who is left for re-education?

Using that kind of language to refer to anyone is against the rules. Furthermore, it is totally unproductive to try and seek out a list of players to shame. Given your history, *** 24-hour ban for Trolling/Flamebaiting ***. Note that this ban applies to you the player and not just this nation.

I wouldn't bother with the anti-vaxxers if their irrational beliefs didn' put anyone in harm, I wouldn't be talking about them if their thoughts didn't harm anyone, such as the flat earthers. Stupid thoughts, yet they don't harm anyone. Anti-vaxxers, in the other hand, are a real threat to society.

What would things have been like if every security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive? Or if during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand? The Organs would quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin's thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt!
