Ahmadinejad critizises Obama

Postby United Dependencies » Thu Jun 25, 2009 7:31 pm

Iran's president has escalated the war of words with Washington, comparing his US counterpart, Barack Obama, to predecessor George Bush.

"Why do you speak so impolitely with this great nation?" Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said at a petrochemical complex's inauguration ceremony in south Iran on Thursday.

"I hope you will avoid interfering in Iran's affairs," he added in the speech broadcast on Iranian state television.

The declared winner of his country's dispute election implied that Obama, being a new president, would still gather "experiences", and urged him to "correct himself".

Not sure how reliable the news network is.

This just looks like an attempt by Iran to get everyone in their country hating the US and all on the same side again.

So, America made the people protest? Just like they say Germany, France and the U.K did?

Or is he mad because, Obama said something 'mean' to him?

This sounds like a job for good old-fashioned pistol dueling. Obama should be able to win, so long as he remembers to channel Andrew Jackson.

Here also, saw earlier.

Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Thursday called the U.S. president inexperienced, compared him unfavorably to President George W. Bush and suggested he apologize for "interfering in Iran's affairs."

Now seriously, Obama may not be my favorite, but last I saw (couple days ago or thereabouts) he was trying his damnedest to stay the hell out of that mess and NOT 'meddle'. Ahmadinejad is one hell of a whack job who needs to come up with a new line, methinks.

That was the part that made me angry. One of the things I like about obama was his staying out of Iran's business. For Ahmadinejad to come up and say this is more than annoying.

I'm not sure why folk are surprised that this nutjob would be disrespectful towards the US president, regardless who he is. Its what gets him points at home with his equally nutty followers.

It's an act of desperation. Pointing to the USA as meddlers in Iranian affairs had gne a long way to keeping the establishment in power over the last 8 years. Before W. declared Iran part of the 'Axis of Evil', they actually had a reformer in office who butted heads with the clergy all the time. That all changed in 2001. Now, the clergy need a demon more than ever and Obama did the most annoying thing he possibly could; Be reasonable.

Ahmadinejad criticized a sitting US president? This is hardly man bites dog...
"...I have been gravely disappointed with the white moderate. I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in the stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Council-er or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who prefers a negative peace which is the absence of tension to a positive peace which is the presence of justice; who constantly says "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I can't agree with your methods of direct action;" who paternalistically feels he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by the myth of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait until a "more convenient season." -MLK Jr.

You know, I think I see Obama's plan;

"You are the Great Satan and we will rise up and destroy you!"

"Well, we certainly have a difference of opinion on that. But I'm willing to discuss those differences."

"But... um... You hate us and want to tear apart our culture to mold us into evil infidels like you."

"Well we clearly don't agree with that, but we have more similarities than differences and we're willing to have a dialogue on the subject."

"GOD DAMN IT!!! You know, just forget it! I fucking hate you, Barack Obama! Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!" *jumps off a cliff*
