Death toll is now at 207. The Prime Minister is concerned this could trigger instability and destroy the country’s economy. 3 police officers killed during a raid outside of Colombo. The country is currently under de facto martial law.

Looks like the long feared World War III is coming. Attacks on places of worship feels like the first major signs of this.

Terrorists are those who betray worshippers in their places of worship, plant fear in their hearts and try to ignite religious conflicts in societies. Our condolences to the people of Sri Lanka, to the world and to everyone who works tirelessly towards tolerance and coexistence.

Ohh the irony. This is too much.

Well that obviously exclude the terror funding Wahhabi extremist gay murdering dissidents torturing theocrats that are the Saudi Governments.

Want more tolerance and coexistence? Then disband the House of Saud.

Didn't the Second World War start this way?

Two Turkish citizens also died.

The twitter account mentioned a place name "Dubai, UAE" but since I'm not a twitter user, I have no idea if it's only showing the place where you are currently staying or the others.

Edit: It'd be pretty interesting if Saudi Arabian actually has a vice president.

Oh well it says Saudi Arabia in the post, the post was misleading.

Still Dubai is hardly a good example of tolerance and coexistence. Better than most others in the region but that is not saying much.
It is still an Islamist apartheid state that tramples religious, personnel and political freedom.
Just not nearly as harshly.

Dubai is still a nasty piece of work.

They probably will be. Punishments in such countries are very harsh as far as I know.

This is absolutely horrifying. It takes another level of evil to be willing to blow up churches and kill people on a religious holiday.

Well that obviously exclude the terror funding Wahhabi extremist gay murdering dissidents torturing theocrats that are the Saudi Governments.

It's still not clear who was behind Sunday's bombings.

What is apparent, is that these coordinated Easter Sunday attacks -- carried out at eight sites, including churches and hotels across Sri Lanka -- were targeted at Christians celebrating one of their holiest days of the year.

The blasts also come a month before Sri Lanka is due to mark the 10-year anniversary of the end of its civil war in 2009.
