Biological sex does exist and is a scientific fact, much to the chagrim of some fellow leftie identitarians here and those "Sex is just a social construct and therefore science is false!1!1!1" proponents. It's even outright stated in innumerable biological textbooks and wikipedia itself that you cannot change one's chromosome by sheer will or by surgically modifying your genital and bodily characteristics to fit your preferred identity, no matter how much one wishes, because AFAIK, genetic engineering isn't that advanced to allow for such a extensive procedure.

IMHO, if they really feel like it, people shouldn't be banned from identifying as a male or female, heck, I couldn't care less whether they get a reassignment surgery or not (As long as they are of age and are fully aware and educated on what are they doing and are not coerced) if it's the only thing that allows them to be at peace with themselves, but trying to pollute biology with pseudoscience to hide the reality of chromosomal differences (What defines sex) while at it is frankly bullshit.

TL:DR, one may identify socially as a particular gender, but biologically, there are only two sexes: XX and XY, and there is no way to alter them after birth, no matter how hard one wishes it to be, until genetic engineering gets into the mainstream at least.
