What flabbergasted me recently was when I did read that TERFs apparently believe that transwoman and queers etc have been engineered by an evil patriachate to penetrate, subvert and destroy feminist and female only spaces from within.

If this sounds a bit too crazy, I am not making this up.

TERFs are upholding essentialism that pits men and women against each other as if they're separate, antagonistic beings that can never change, and sex stereotypes, and calling it feminism.

A cultural feminist is someone who believes that women and men both have innate essences and that patriarchy has devalued women's roles, and these roles are inherent to both men and women, as if they're fixed from birth. Obviously, trans people do not fit in this model of gender. It sounds quite similar to conservative Christian views on gender, minus the whole thing on free bleeding in St Peter's Basilica.

From my experience, most TERFs have toxic personalities to begin with, which is probably a major reason why they gravitate toward that direction in the first place. Germaine Greer has said some pretty shockingly sexist things about cis women as much as she has trans woman, for instance.

Yeah, there are multiple Birdos. Just the character (that is, the one who is Yoshi's girlfriend) is trans.

Eh, you can’t even have that when you’re cis. Sure, you could do gender reassignment surgery, but it’s provably never going to make you look exactly how you want to look. That’s the same if you’re not gender dysphoric. It’s just a part of life.
