After drinking an interesting fungus smoothie last week, I came to the realization that all humans are tangerines, but that’s a sidepoint.

I find it easier to ignore randos online hateposting than irl misgendering.

My only job right now is a rideshare driver and one rider kept on calling me "my man" and "brother" repeatedly, it probably was my voice, though, it can be quite deep.

I feel the same way. I work af a cafe, and got called "man" twice tonight. That bothered me much more than the troll did. I'm fortunately getting it less often now that I'm over a year and a half into my transition, but now that I get it less often I'm also a bit less numb to it than I was pre-transition.

Should you hold off on the meds until you see the other psychologist? It depends if you think the anxiety and depression are serious enough to warrant going on the meds immediately, or whether you can see the other psychologist first to see what their recommendations are.

That's a good question. I don't really know if it would be better to take meds before I see the next psychologist. But I don't think it's urgent for me to take them, I'm not going to kill myself tomorrow or anything like that if I don't take them, and I haven't even started taking them yet, or even started to seek prescription for them. And to tell you the truth, I'm a bit hesitant with antidepressants, but I've decided it is something worth trying to see if it improves things.

Take them, he's probably concerned you have Transgender-Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder. It's a subdiagnosis of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder in which the obsessive-compulsive patient has obsessive intrusive thoughts about transsexuality and fears that they have gender dysphoria, but don't. He probably wants you to take the medication to see if the feelings go away with them.

After doing a bit of reading on TOCD, it's quite interesting. It's possible I do have TOCD instead of GD, but I'm leaning towards GD, given that I don't have much of a history with obsessive or compulsive thoughts, and TOCD sufferers seem to be constantly worried about being trans and not reaping any positive feeling about the idea of being trans, while the feelings I feel about being trans are mixed.

It's not as frequent as often, but sometimes happens, and don't want to prolong the interaction. Though sometimes, I have said "I'm not a sir/man". Mind you, I said that when I got the sex marker changed on my driver's license. But, the guy at the DMV handled it well, since it's obvious that some replacing an ID with M, for one that says F on it, would not be a sir.

Unrelated, I tried getting X, and I heard that DMV in Philadelphia would, but they said they do not anymore.
