I really liked that video and it really shows how beauty standards run deep with social power and reflect the privileged. She does have her fabulous aesthetic.

I didn't notice the differences until she compared her pre and post op profiles. She had a few millimeters of bone shorn off but it does make some difference and she is happy with the results.

Tbh I don't think it would be really necessary for someone as naturally pretty as her to get FFS, but whatever floats her boat.

The video is worth a watch. She’s very honest about her reasons for getting FFS.

Haven't gotten a chance to watch it, I guess it might make more sense if I do.

Nanatsu no Tsuki wrote:Oh, Contra’s video on her facial feminization surgeries made me chuckle so much. But she always does. Must say that her take on why is it that so many women seek to be or present as beautiful resonated with me. And her ASMR on her sequined dress... my sides! :lol2:

Contra is now cancelled due to her inferior Chad Circumference.

Everyone talks about the Chad Circumference, but nobody talks about the mouthfeel. Why is nobody talking about the mouthfeel?

You can't measure mouthfeel with a calipers.

It can only be rated through a complex phonetic system based on exactly how the mouthfeel can be expressed using the vocal tract, which is impossible for most humans to produce without years of technical training.

That's really exiting! I've been wondering about doing that at some point in the future, though not anytime soon. Hope all goes well for you, and that the bureaucracy isn't too much of a headache.

Having done a course in wine tasting I can confirm that this is exactly how mouthfeel works.

If anything it hurt wallet since I had to pay nearly $200 to file my petition. But then comes updating driver licenses and passport, and I will need to tell my banks.

It's $360 here, so count your blessings! I don't drive, so that part isn't as much of a problem.

So I got around to that Contra video, and I liked this bit near the end enough to type it out to share it here:

'Where I can see an escape from my particular doom spiral is in style as an alternative ideal to beauty. You can be stylish at any age. You can be stylish whether you pass or not. Style is a way of cultivating a personal aesthetic that you have complete control over. It's like art in that originality is a virtue. Style is an individual aesthetic, unlike the collective aesthetic of beauty standards. (...) So even if you don't conform to conventional beauty standards, through the power of original style, you can create the taste by which your unique beauty is to be appreciated.'

It resonates, in part because even though I lucked out in that I can pass without any medical interventions, I'm also very aware that I am halfway through my thirties and that the effects of age are only going to become more visible in the coming years. So this bit was uplifting.

I shoudl probably do that too, now that I think about it. I use the Foe list a bit too little.

Hediacrana wrote:In other news: good news from Brazil (and God knows that country can use it these days), where the top court voted to criminalize homophobia and transphobia.

YES! Go Brazilian Supreme Court!

Hopefully Bolsonaro doesn't fuck it up.

If I understand correctly, the ruling was made on the basis that homo- and transphobia is unconstitutional. That'd mean Bolsonaro can't just screw it up with normal legislation, he'd have to pass a constitutional amendment. He'll need 3/5ths in Congress for that, more than usual (I think). I don't know if he has the numbers for that, but at least it'll be a little harder.

Hot take: If you use the foe's list at all you use it too much.

I have no idea how I pass usually, unless I am talking which then ups it, but I noticed I haven't been referred to with male coded terms as much as I used to. Maybe I look like a beautiful androgyne or maybe I'm too manish to pass? Passing is something I try to worry less about. However, I have started to build my own personal aesthetic.

You know what else can be uplifting and will help you battle the effects of age?

Plastic surgery :p

At least with food, it’s the sensation something evokes while being eaten and ingested.

It is a wine tasting term that Natalie Wynn has turned into a meme when transferring it to fellatio, especially when comparing the feminine penis to that of a cis man, because feminizing hormones change the penis a bit, and likewise, testosterone does make the clitoris bigger and phallic.

I don't know how much my gender identity has affected my fixation with aesthetics. Maybe I'd have been a decadent aesthete obsessed with homoerotic portrayals of the human body even if I were cis. It's something I occasionally think about and one reason that I identify with ContraPoints a lot (even if our aesthetics are a mile apart).

I've tried to erase the concept from my brain enough times now that whenever I tilt too far in either direction bleach dribbles out my ears.

I would suggest seeing a doctor, but that would mean afflicting them with the image and spreading the issue.

You do you, but I personally don't like the idea of analyzing the difference in taste and texture between a masculine and feminine penis.
