One thing I don't get about TERFs (along with all the other things): how do they deal with there are animals that change sex biologically? How animals that are sequentially hermaphroditic relate to transgender humans is debatable, but doesn't it bother them that the animal kingdom has creatures switching gender all the time?

Given that slur is just an alternative word for pejorative, it technically is, at least sometimes. It's contextual. Terms can be both factual and pejorative, such as calling someone whose family tree looks more like a shrub "inbred". Though in the case of both "TERF" and "nazi", there's ample misapplication.

Probably...not? It doesn’t really probably concern most people. The animal kingdom has all sorts of bizarre functions and events. In fact, many of them are fascinating. But otherwise, this is a ridiculous thing to mention in the trans thread, which is about people. Are you gonna fight for the rights of clownfish to have whatever gender they wanna be called? Because clownfish certainly don’t care, they don’t use pronouns themselves. Are you gonna lose your mind if someone says, “So that clownfish is not a real male, it changed to a female in order to reproduce”? People can respond to being referred to in a certain manner, and can debate about how they want to be called. There’s so many more important things to be concerned about. Next question.
