So I tried tucking when going out for the first time today, and one thing I've learnt about me is that my bio-information ejector is apparently really small. I can't really tell much of a difference, even in feeling, with a custom-fitted tuck. Is that normal? Or am I just lucky in a weird way? I can't imagine I'd be as happy about it if I was a guy. :P

On a side note, have any of y'all had to deal with people being confused when they see your listed sex on your ID/driving license/other identification, and it doesn't match with what you look like? I've been told that I look pretty much as any girl would look, which is great, but I don't usually like travelling or doing things where I have to show my passport or ID because it still says M on it.

Tucking would be quite uncomfortable for me if I needed to do it. Actually, it'd probably cause quite a lot of pain. I think I would just need to wear very loose dresses instead, as walking around in constant pain wouldn't be practical.

I imagine it's why most folk try to get their passport changed at the earliest they can, because of the inevitable hassle that it can cause at airports, as usually if border officers in any country see what looks like a discrepancy on a passport they will check if it's fake or not.

Yeah, I figured :( Sadly I'm in one of those places where I need to get surgery before I can legally change it, which is fortunate in a way because at least it's changeable (which is more than I would expect out of my country, or other countries in the area). Still, that probably means I'm a ways off from actually leaving the country at some point.

For less formal stuff, though, I'm in this grey area where people (especially teachers) know my legal name, which is strongly gendered, and also my legal sex, so I can't really be myself in class. I'm not particularly fond of the idea of talking to them frankly, since the culture in this place isn't always the kindest. The few I've talked to have been supportive, but they're all from the more traditionally liberal faculty.

From Out:

Elizabeth Warren Comes Out in Favor of 'Affordable' Trans Health Care

In a move that has predictably set the right-wing blogosphere ablaze, Elizabeth Warren has spoken out in support of trans people’s access to gender-affirming health care.

“Everyone should be able to access high-quality, affordable, gender-affirming health care,” she tweeted on Tuesday. “But the Trump administration is trying to roll back important protections for trans Americans.”

The Massachusetts senator, who is currently seeking the Democratic nomination in the 2020 presidential election, closed her tweet with a call to action, asking her Twitter followers to “help fight back by leaving a comment [on Protect Trans Health’s website].” Protect Trans Health is an advocacy platform created by the National Center for Transgender Equality and the Transgender Law Center that, until midnight of last night, had been soliciting trans people’s testimonials of experiences with discrimination in health care to send to the Department of Health and Human Services.

This isn’t the first time that the candidate has addressed trans people’s access to health care, though it reflects a very different stance than her earliest efforts. Back in 2012 when she was running to unseat Republican Sen. Scott Brown in Massachusetts, Warren said that state-funded gender-affirming surgeries for incarcerated trans people wasn’t “a good use of taxpayers’ dollars.” She has since reversed that position, coming out in favor of trans inmates receiving gender-affirming surgery earlier this year.

Seven years later, the Senator has consistently spoken out against discrimination against trans people on the 2020 campaign trail, though this might be the first time she has explicitly come out against discrimination against trans people in health care.

While Warren’s general pro-trans sentiment seems pretty apparent, it’s unclear what she means by “affordable, gender-affirming health care” exactly. For instance, does it include both hormones and surgery — and which surgeries, at that? What about ensuring that doctors don’t misgender you or that transgender people, who disproprtionately live in poverty, even have the ability to get to a doctor?

Out reached out to Warren’s press office for clarification. We’ll update the story if we hear back.

It's something that is needed, though it should also cover FFS and all forms of top surgery, not just GCS. Some policies do just that.

Though speaking of that, I wish some states would drop that requirement to alter one's birth certificate.

Stuff like this is why Warren is my favorite candidate.
The American Empire is a socially progressive absolute monarchy run by the heirs of Emperor Norton. It started off at MT but has rapidly advanced to PMT through interdimensional travel. All NSstats are used, except for tax rate and population. Factbooks are currently under reconstruction.

Yeah, hate to say it, but the Democrats need a strong candidate, they don't have one yet.

Bernie Sanders now has to compete with 20 nobodies, none of whom stand out particularly, and he's sadly not long for the world.

Shit at this point I should run for President, I'd make quite the splash.

The party establishment and a lot of voters seem to think Joe Biden is that strong candidate. I think he would definitely win, but at the cost of some very important policies. His party platform is basically nostalgia (similar to some older Republicans with Reagan or the 1950s) for the Obama days.
I most agree with Bernie in terms of pure policy, and I love that he's charismatic and stays firm in his views, but he's so fucking old. I also think he kind of blew his chance in 2016, and he seems to have a lot of trouble appealing to black voters. I don't want black people to have to choose between an old man who's incompetent around black issues and an old buffoon who's deeply racist.
Elizabeth Warren seems like the best option to me. She's similar to Bernie, but a lot more calculating and restrained when she needs to be.

A really good article about Murray Hall, a transman AFAB who was a politician in New York in the 19th century, but born in Scotland: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-49291971

Very interesting, cheers. A good read.

Mr Lustbader, who lives near Murray Hall's former apartment, went to visit his unmarked grave at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Queens, New York, earlier this year.

According to the New York Times, Murray Hall was buried there in woman's clothing.

"When I was at the grave I had this little moment kind of envisioning him being buried there in women's clothing, much to his horror," said Mr Lustbader.

"I just felt I was sending a message to Murray Hall saying don't worry, people know your story and you are not being mocked any longer.

"You're being recognised for the contribution you've made and to your own personal struggle and what you've succeeded in doing - living as a man, as you so choose."
I'm glad he's getting the recognition he deserves. Beyond disrespectful how they decided to bury him, but given the time period it's not like people knew any better. :(

Terfs have been making a fuss about Trans children like me getting an underwear brand, like dude I just wanna wear underwear that helps me with my problems which involve the human genitalia, like stop calling the Trans adults "pedos" and Trans kids "groomed".

So, I can strike it down that Terfs have a bad eye.

I can also strike down that Terfs are just Femmies whom were indoctrinated by Transphobes without knowing.
