As someone who advocates for AIs to happen one day, I will say that even I think they can't be completely trusted. At least, not with our very limited understanding for now.

Perhaps they can think like us one day if we unlocked the secrets of consciousness... or perhaps consciousness is only unique to the organic beings and the AI will never achieve that. We don't really know, AFAIK.

They might be smarter than us or process at breakneck speeds... but perhaps they will take a lot longer to understand the concept of compassion, or love. Or never at all. We don't know yet.



Either way... there is one important thing I must say to the fellow AI advocators like me:

DO NOT GIVE AI THE RIGHTS TO THE MILITARY INSTALLATIONS. Shit, have you people see Skynet? That ain't the way to be.

I love robots, I love the AI, but I draw a line when it comes to them being armed, except maybe with self-defense mechanisms like an electrified body*.
* Even for an electrified body you have to worry about a crazy robot jumping into a pool full of people, but now I'm just making fantasy stories.
