If the Phillies' new pitcher doesn't have "Wild Thing" as entrance music, I'll be extremely disappointed.

Bill Buckner "croaked," as you so quaintly put it, on 25 October 1986. Ah well, now he can rest in peace at last.

Bill Buckner, an outfielder and first baseman whose long, solid career was overshadowed by an infamous error that cost the Boston Red Sox Game 6 of the 1986 World Series against the Mets, who went on to win the championship, died on Monday. He was 69.

There's a Will Smith on the Dodgers, and his walk-up music is the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air theme.

Some expert who studies pitch mechanics, claims that it is nearly impossible for anyone to throw a 110+ MPH fast ball. At that speed or greater, the arm is in danger of breaking or becoming dislocated, the ligaments can't take it past that point. No one has thrown this fast as of yet, but there is only a little bit to go. I'd say 105 Mph is pretty damn fast.

Somebody will manage. He'll earn a footnote in baseball history, and have a short, glorious career.

Putting aside my Red Sox hate to say pray for Big Papi. He got shot over in the DR. He's in surgery right now.

ESPN is saying he's in stable condition, so that's good news.

As a longtime Angel's fan, I see them finishing fourth at best. But at least they have the highest paid player in baseball. :eyebrow:

Who’s also on pace to be one of the best players ever. They’ll put a team around Trout eventually.

I think last time I was here the Mariners were 13-2 and Felix Hernandez and Yusei Kickuchi we’re above average pitchers. Oh how the times have changed

As am I.

Now if the Phils could just get back on track, I'd be set.

Thank God the London Series is over. The quality of the gameplay in that stadium just doesn't feel right, there were too many multi-base hits and pop fouls not being caught.

On the bright side, I'm digging the Reds' Palm Beach throwbacks!

Disagree but whatever, I loved it, not just because the Yankees won, but there is that too.
