The MLB is still doing business with the PRC government, which micromanages their political system far more than Georga, yet isn't boycotting China over that. What is up with that?

I'm down with forcing Baseball to deal harshly with China and Cuba. I'm down with removing the antitrust exemption; while we're at it let's strip that from the Boy Scouts too. So let's get to work on all that. In the meantime Baseball did the right thing by moving the All-Star Game out of Georgia.

Look, I may just be one of those "traditionalists" that they don't care if they piss off, but if your team's name literally has the word "red" in it, shouldn't your uniform be at least partially... I dunno, red?

And even beyond just that glaring issue, just why? I think to merely call those uniforms an eyesore would be too generous. The uniforms are ugly. They're stupid. And importantly, they are not even slightly reminiscent of the Red Sox. They were aiming for cutting edge, but instead jumped straight off the edge of a cliff.

The way I read the article, it sounds like the sort of thing thats supposed to reoccur maybe once or twice a season. They're supposed to have alternates like this for every team by 2023.

It's dumb, just like the NFL's great brainstorm that puts teams on the field wearing what often looks like pajamas. Doesn't the Commissioner have any real work to do?

Imagine if MLB tries to expand elsewhere. India, Pakistan, the West Indies, and England will all scoff at those attempts since cricket dominates in those places.

I doubt the MLB will try to expand beyond North America, or even just the US (+Toronto). Baseball as a sport could happen, but like you said, cricket (I love playing cricket btw, despite the fact that the US has basically no cricket pitches)

Japan and South Korea like baseball as do Latin American countries like Venezuela and Cuba. I doubt the sport will reach beyond those areas as most of Europe and Latin America loves football.
