After a sweet road sweep of the Cubs, the Cardinals have clinched a playoff spot!

Now to just hold off the Brewers and make sure we take the Central...

Brewers have been on fire recently. Last I checked, 15-3 in their last 18 games. I think all without Yelich.

Doubtful they can ride that well into October, but they looked primed for a wildcard spot.

It took a crazy turn of events to get there (including not having the lead until their last at-bat) but the Nationals/Expos have finally advanced in the playoffs for the first time ever. Their reward? A very tough NLDS matchup with the Dodgers.

Tough loss for the Brewers. It was quite a tear that got them into the wild card game to begin with. A solid season cut disappointingly short.

Hope the Dodgers annihilate the Nationals. And for the AL Wild Card I'm going with Oakland in this, if only so they can go up against the Astros and see if that unknown magic that can make them win against them is still in effect.

They're not as bad as the Red Sox or Yankees, but the Dodgers make my baseball hatelist, and I need them eliminated ASAP. Go Nats.

I have a soft spot for the Rays, (maybe because they play the Yanks and Red Sox so much?) So go Ray's (over the A's and the Astros).
