I'd imagine the fact that it was based on unfounded fear of violence after what amounts to slander and the FBI pulled its usual divide and lie tactics.
Ideally, the media would be reporting on all instances of unfounded detainment, if only to allow citizens to keep an eye on their law enforcement and make it more difficult for corruption to take root, but that doesn't make enough money for the tastes of media execs.

Not just the USA's media. One of Australia's prominate, most credible news papers constantly posts bullahit articles about celebrities and reality TV shows, whilst failing to even provide a passing mention to the thousands of people who die in conflicts all around the world

How about the fact that Watson was allowed in whilst Yemeni was deported? How about the fact that if anyone else other Jim Jefferies had a made a joke about a dingo eating a Muslim baby, they would have been scrutanised by the media till the cows come home. I mean, Rosane Barb lost her carrer for less, and the media wouldn't stop talking about her for a month. Sure, what she was bad, but atleast she didn't make jokes about dead Muslim babies. How about the fact that the FBI suggested that they couldn't find any credible evidence of fears of violence, but continued to detain them, how about the terrible manner in which the FBI handled the whole situation. Need I go on...
