Indeed sad and truly upsetting to see such beautiful construction to be damaged in such a horrific way, I hope whenever they can do, they can restore as possible. A reminder, that this isn't the first time that has happened. Another version is closely linked to a case where the French Revolutionists whom were Anti-Christ and saw the Notre-Dame as a symbol of Monarchism (They indeed had influence over the people and much more) plundered and ransacked the Notre-Dame De Paris... Actually really pleased to see that a decent chunk of the cathedral and a lot of the artefacts survived. They hold religious, historical and cultural significance. They are in a real sense irreplaceable - as is of course the life the firefighter who is seriously injured. I hope they survive.
