I never said it was or speculated that it was arson. I said we should continue speculation the cause of the fire. Arson is not the only cause of fire.

Not to derail (my last interjection on the subject) but the reality is: La Sagrada Familia's scope (curses Gaudi) and the fact that the project constantly runs out of money.

Plans can be digitalized. And quickly transferred on the internet to a safer place. No worries there.

Heck, they might have done so already. Backups :)

Why don't you just drop it then? You're the one who keeps bringing up arson. People will respond, you know.

Is this an official warning? I don't recall bringing up arson. I do recall bringing up speculation in general.

heh. Though, in hindsight that would've been a good precaution to take.

You'll know when it's official. Speculation about it being arson. Don't split hairs with me. Drop it. That goes for everyone else.

I find it hard to read that as anything other than pushing speculation that the fire was caused by arson.

While we can speculate as to what caused the fire, it appears rather obvious that it was not arson and was likely an accident involving the restoration effort.

I think I remember reading it's safe, though I don't have a link for you.

Friends and I jokingly think it was two of the renovators and one dropped a cigarette. That's about as much info as we had was it was undergoing renovations at the time of the fire. Shit happens.

Something beautiful was there yesterday.

And something beautiful will stand tomorrow.

You cannot erase what was done, not as long as history has it in the archives. Something was lost, but the fact that the majority of the planet hasn't visited this spot and still praise it proves that this beauty will be remembered no matter what.

What the hell did I just say? Oh, wait, let me quote that for you:

Speculation on arson is only causing a lot of "Is so!" "Is not!" arguing. I would appreciate it stopping. Now.

The vault is safe from the last I read, so everything below it is safe too, that includes things like the organs and whatnot.

Glass can be replaced, but it would have been far more difficult to replace the actual structure, since engineers and stonemasons having skills related to Gothic architecture will be rare as hen's teeth nowadays.
